  • If your business involves caring for animals, ensure your provide them with shade and consider installing high capacity water tanks to use for their water needs.  If your business includes large numbers of animals (e.g. a zoo) you could also investigate applying for an abstraction licence could be from river, borehole, canal etc. You probably need a licence if you want to take more than 20 cubic metres (4,000 gallons) of water per day.
